Void Cheque
Definition
- A check that cannot be deposited. In order to void a cheque, all one must do is write "VOID" on the face of the check, preferably in capital letters. Some employers require a void cheque in order for them to set up direct deposit for their employees. Voided cheques can also be used to set up automatic payments for a service.
